Q:I’m a big fan of my XBox 360, and I’m always find new stuff to play with. I have recently come across the fact that I can access Twitter from my Xbox, but as you can imagine, typing with the controller is pretty tedious. Is there any way I can speed that up?

A:It’s great to see the XBox ecosystem develop and as time goes by, more and more functionality becoming available. Twitter was a great addition, which also came with Facebook and Last.FM, if I remember correctly. However, as you suggest, these apps make lots of use of textual information and typing in letters and numbers starts to become more important.

This is where the XBox 360 Chatpad comes in. It’s a device that snaps onto your standard controller and essentially gives you a keyboard you can use for textual information. It’s currently on sale from Buy.com at under $20 (including shipping), so really won’t leave you out of pocket. It lets you communicate quickly and easily with other gamers on Xbox Live and use Instant Messanging, Facebook and Twitter as easily as can be. It’s a must have if you’re big into your Xbox and will make things much easier to navigate.
