Samsung Mobile and Bell Mobility today announced the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant smartphone will launch on August 6 for $150 on Bell ($500 contract free). The Android 2.1-powered Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant will bring users a fully integrated entertainment, messaging and social networking device packaged in an alluring, streamlined design surrounding a high-performance Super AMOLED 4-inch display.

Celebrating the Galaxy S
Tonight, Samsung Canada and one of the hottest independent bands in the country, Metric, are holding a pop-up, impromptu street concert in front of Union Station in downtown Toronto. The band will give Toronto music and mobile technology lovers an unrivalled 45-minute set of chart-topping hits that will rock the city core.
On August 6, Bell will give away 5 Samsung Galaxy S Vibrants each hour from 9 am until noon to shoppers at the Bell store at Yonge and Eglinton in Toronto - and one lucky store visitor will also win Lady Gaga tickets.
Additionally, clients nationwide outside Québec who purchase a Galaxy S Vibrant on launch day will automatically be entered for a chance to win one of three sets of tickets to see Lady Gaga in Edmonton or Vancouver - including round trip airfare and hotel.
