Samsung Canada revealed a series of Windows 8 enabled premium Ultrabooks under the Series 9 and Series 5 line. They also revealed their ATIV Smart PC 11.6-inch tablets which can work as Ultrabooks with optional keyboards. Also launched for the holiday buying season was a new 23-inch all-in-one PC with multi-touch capabilities as well as gesture control. Stay tuned for detailed video demos of all the new Windows 8 Samsung gear.

Most notable were the new Series 9 Ultrabooks that feature an all aluminum unibody design with precise diamond-cut design and a unique sandblasted finish.

Clearly some of the more beautiful notebooks in the market today, the Series 9 15-inch models do not offer multi-touch screens for Windows 8 but they do offer oversized trackpads that have Windows 8 specific gesture controls, so anything you can do on a touchscreen you can easily do on the trackpad.

Also shown was the Samsung Series 5 Ultra Touch Ultra has a capacitive touch screen and an aluminum top as well as a fiberglass bottom with a full complement of ports including USB 3.0, HDMI out and a microSD Card slot.
