Adobe is making Photoshop Touch available to the iPad for $9.99 on the Apple App store tomorrow. Photoshop Touch is a scaled down implementation of he popular image editing program but has all the elements that most users need and is backed by Adobe's Creative Cloud service. Photoshop Touch for iPad appeared briefly on the App Store over the weekend but vanished for some reason.
This, plus the buzz that Microsoft is looking to release MS Office for the iPad soon changes the tablet game in a number of ways.
The iPad has a ton of apps but Photoshop and more importantly Microsoft Office are two of the critical suites that most computer users depend on and use. Having them on the iPad and considering the added horsepower of the iPad 3 (or whatever it is that Apple is releasing next month) makes the iPad a bonafide computing platform. Photoshop Touch has been available on Android for OS 3.1 users since last year. We are not expecting Microsoft Office to come to Android at all.
