Canon has finally made available the 18.9Mb Firmware 2.0.0 for the popular 7D DSLR. Available for download here, the new firmware, which was announced in June, brings a bevy of feature upgrades. The biggest is an improved camera image buffer when shooting at the maximum 8fps, letting you shoot up to 25 RAW images or 130 high-res JPEGs before lag kicks in. Hit jump for more information.
The update also adds the ability to set a value for maximum Auto ISO. There's faster scrolling when playing back magnified images, and the ability to touch things up with in-camera RAW image processing. Kudos to Canon for continuing development on a popular camera even years after it debuted. That's offering value to your customers!
