To all our friends whose job is demanding, and demand a device that will stand-up to the harshest of conditions: Rogers sees you and appreciates you. This is why, beginning next month, they will start selling the Android-powered ruggedized CatB15, made by Caterpillar - yes that Caterpillar, smartphone.

The device comes with a 4-inch WVGA screen with wet finger tracking, a 2000mAh removable battery, pentaband 3G support, a dual-core 1Ghz processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB internal storage, a 5MP camera, Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi, GPS and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Of course, it’s also IP67 compliant, making it completely waterproof for up to one metre for 30 minutes, and drop resistant up to 1.8 metres (6ft) onto concrete. It’s also rated for extreme temperature use between -20C and 55C. All for $99 on a 2-year term, the device is worth every penny for the construction site.

Rogers doesn't say when exactly it will launch, but don't worry my Facebook-loving roughnecks, it's coming!
