TVO and Bell today announced the launch of TVOKids on Bell Mobile TV, making TVO's fun and educational children's television programs accessible nationally on Bell smartphones and tablets.

The TVOKids channel on Bell Mobile TV will offer live and on-demand access to popular shows such as Dino Dan,Finding Stuff OutGiverMaking Stuff, as well as TVOKids-produced in-house programs from Gisèle's Big Back Yard, TVOKids' early learning programming block, and The Space, TVOKids' afterschool block.

"TVO is delighted to make TVOKids' exceptional educational programs available on Bell Mobile TV," says TVO's Chief Executive Officer Lisa de Wilde. "Making their favourite programs available to early learners on a multitude of devices enables parents, teachers and students to access smart and trusted educational tools inside and outside the classroom. The partnership with Bell also allows us to reach new audiences while respecting the taxpayers' investment in TVO."

"TVOKids is one of Canada's most respected children's media brands and we are excited to make it part of the widest variety of live and on-demand TV programming on smartphones and tablets with Bell Mobile TV," said Wade Oosterman, President of Bell Mobility.

Parents choose TVOKids because all programs are based on the Ontario school curriculum and are parent and teacher tested. In an Ipsos Reid poll, Ontarians rated TVOKids both the "most trusted" and "most educational" children's media brand in Canada.

Last month, Bell welcomed its one millionth subscriber to Bell Mobile TV, the breakthrough wireless data service that offers on-the-go access to more than 40 channels of live and on-demand sports, news, entertainment and children's TV programming. 10 hours of Bell Mobile TV viewing is available as part of many Bell Mobility plans or as a $5 a month add-on, without affecting the customer's data allotment in their plan.
