User's who have been wating to experience what it is like to visit a Microsoft Store might soon get a chance to have a sampling by visiting their neighbourhood Future Shop location. A slide shown during a media event for Future SHop today shows a rendering of a Microsoft Store within a store concept in what looks to be a Future Shop location. The product layout, treatment and advertising looks very similar to what the Microsoft Store in Yorkdale looks like except for the giant plug-in HDTV screens.

This is an excellent idea for both Microsoft and for Future Shop, Microsoft doesn't have to find high-traffic real estate and undertake major construction.  It can curate its products and services within Future Shop as well has have trained staff on hand while Future Shop gets to give users a unique experience while moving various product categories (XBox, WIndows Phone, Windows PCs, Surface) into one area. Stay tuned for more information.
