Acer made a couple of product announcements at the ongoing Computex 2013 in Taipei, including the 8-inch Iconia W3 tablet, next-gen Aspire S7 and S3, and an Aspire Z3 all-in-one. What can you expect in terms of specs?
Acer Iconia W3
Touted as the first 8-inch Windows 8-powered tablet, the Iconia W3 comes pre-installed with the full version of Microsoft Office and is capable of playing 720p videos. Connecting to external displays is possible via the micro-HDMI and micro-USB ports.
Acer Aspire S7-392
Acer ups the ante with this next-generation 13.3-inch S7-392 that has the same features of the previous model but with a supposed 7-hour battery life. Keyboard has been upgraded for a better typing experience and a quieter fan courtesy of the 2nd-gen Acer TwinAir cooling. It is reported to be getting the incoming Haswell 4th-gen Intel Core processor.
Acer Aspire S3-392
Calling it a “fashionable Ultrabook,” the Aspire S3-392 gains the looks of its older brother, the S7, and packs in the latest Intel Core processors, 13.3-inch 1080p Full HD IPS display, NVIDIA GeForce GT735M graphics, WiDi, and 1TB storage.
Acer Aspire Z3 series
For those looking for a new all-in-one PC for their homes, the Aspire Z3 is equipped with a 23-inch Full HD IPS panel with 10-point touch capabilities and front-facing Harman Kardon speakers.
Pre-selling of the Iconia W3 in the US will start tomorrow, June 4; while details about pricing, configurations, and availability of the other products will be announced at a later date.
