Google is making it even more affordable for users to enjoy the unlocked Pure Google experience with a new introductory price for the 8GB Nexus 4 which now retails for $199 while the 16GB version is $249. The Nexus 4 is a stunning smartphone. With a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM,  a luscious 4,7-inch screen, happy helpings of NFC (Near Field Communications), wireless charging via compatible inductive Qi chargers, Miracast video mirroring capability, dual noise-cancelling microphones and HSPA + data capability all neatly wrapped in a sleek Gorilla Glass covered frame. One has to wonder about the timing of this price drop. Is Google clearing stock for a new Nexus smartphone? Are they anticipating the new low cost iPhone? Does this take away some shine from Google's own Moto X, which has inferior specs in many areas but offers various software innovations?

Regardless of the reasons, a $199 Nexus 4, is a superb deal and one that is hard to ignore.
