A year after launching their "Next Box" cable offering, Rogers is officially cutting the red-ribbon today on the latest iteration of Next Box, version 3.0. Redesigned with a sleeker, rounder look, 3.0 is being billed as the most "compelling and robust cable offering on the market". The box comes packed with 8 tuners, double the capacity (240 hours of recorded TV) of 2.0, supports Rogers "AnyPlace home" which allows for streaming TV on your phone or tablet over their LTE network.

With Next Box 3.0, a big update one can expect is a complete(ly necessary) UI overhaul of Rogers' popular "On Demand" service. What was once ugly, confusing and slow is now easier to navigate, easy on the eyes, and a lot snappier in terms of responsiveness.

Other notable updates that come packed in NetBox 3.0 are:

- Weather button for local weather forcasts on screen

- Updated PVR listing UI

- Cleaner on screen call display (which only works in conjunction with Rogers home phone)

- Easier channel search navigation, with option of HD-only and search by actor

- etc.

If you're interested in updating from Next Box 2.0, click here call Rogers or head to your local Rogers plus for more information.
