A company's logo is its identity and can be a symbol of its strengths and aspirations. Yahoo! is on the verge of turning a new leaf, becoming relevant and even spearheading certain areas of technology. Its new logo was recently decided upon after a month of testing. For those of us who remember the advent of the Internet, Yahoo! was our gateway to the Internet so it's great to see them realigning. "We wanted a logo that stayed true to our roots (whimsical, purple, with an exclamation point) yet embraced the evolution of our products," says Kathy Savit and superstar CEO Marisa Meyer's blog on their recently acquired Tumblr blog explains the process of how the new logo came to be.
