TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) in Toronto means absolute celebrity pandemonium. They're everywhere, they're (sometimes) happy, and, for the most part, they're partying it up to the fullest. As is the case at Nikki Beach Toronto.
After receiving a gracious invite, I decided to go for dinner with my fiancée on Friday and get the night started early, which turned out to be a great decision. When we arrived to the rooftop patio of Toronto's Spoke Club at around 7:30pm, Nikki Beach was calm, relaxed, and emanating that 'cool/chill' vibe one would come to expect from the world famous 'beach club' take over. So we sat and ordered some snacks to get the night going.
Within minutes, heads turned as the one and only Jason Bateman walked in.
Although everyone at Nikki Beach could feel the excitement of his precense, we had to respect his space and privacy because of the rules enforced at Spoke/Nikki.
Later on, actor Clive Owen rolled through for a nightacap as well.
All in all, once the clock struck midnight, Nikki Beach was packed (I mean shoulder to shoulder) and we knew it was time to make our humble exit. Would I return again? Heck yes.
Nikki Beach takes over Toronto's Spoke club for the 10 days TIFF is in town, and is open 11am-4am the entire time. The caveat is that Nikki Beach is strict on guest list, so I recommend getting an invite (or going as someone else's plus 1) to avoid being turned away at the door.
