The latest updates for Google’s Gmail service want to make it easier for your Google+ contacts to reach you and help making loading images faster on your mobile devices.
Google will integrate Google+ contacts into your Gmail address book, if you are keen on corresponding with some of your online contacts that you don’t know in real life. What happens at the beginning though is your email address will not be visible to the person you email and vice versa, unless they respond to your email or you respond to theirs.
If you make use of the new inbox categories for Gmail, those in your circles will appear in the Primary category. Those you don’t have in your circles, will be filtered into the Social category. Of course, Google will be giving you the option to opt out of the new feature. Keep looking through the Settings tab on Gmail. The new feature is set to come out in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the other feature new feature for mobile Gmail users will let you see images automatically when you open emails. Android and Me reports the email client used to deter you from viewing photos by asking if you wanted to automatically show images from certain people as a security measure. But now, Google is hosting images on their servers so the company has already scanned the image sent to you for any malware. The feature is also rolling out in the coming days.
