Looking to upgrade your work or gaming machines? Acer has launched new R Series convertible laptops and V Nitro gaming line.
The Aspire R 13 and Aspire R 14 combines touch display with keyboard as well as unique hinges intended to provide more flexibility from the machines. The R 13 comes equipped with the Ezel Aero hinge with a U-frame structure. It allows for the laptop to be folded into six different modes: notebook, pad, display, ezel, tent, and stand. Configurations include options for Full HD display, Gorilla Glass 3, solid state drives, and Acer Active Pen. It will be available starting late October or early November with prices starting at US$999.99
The R 14, on the other hand, has a 360-degree dual-torque hinge that allows it to work in four different modes: notebook, pad, display, or tent. Models include options for a range of Intel processors, up to 8GB of memory, and integrated graphics or NVIDIA GeForce 820M. It will also be available starting late October or Early November at Staples, Future Shop, and Best Buy with suggested retail price starting at $599.99.
Meanwhile, the V Nitro Black Edition series brings gamers the performance they need to get their gaming and entertainment fix. It is equipped with standard voltage 4th-generation Intel Core i7-4710HQ quad-core processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX860M graphics, dual wireless antennas, and advanced cooling technology. It can come in 17.3- or 15.6-inch with Full HD matte display and IPS technology . It has 8GB SSDs and 1TB hard drive. The 17.3-inch model will have a DVD drive, Dolby technology, and four speakers. It will be available at Best Buy and Future Shop by late October and early November. Prices will start at $1,299.99.
