The entry-level Nokia Lumia 625 is not a 'new' device in the sense of being sold in Canada, as it was launched on TELUS exclusively five months ago. The news on this device, and what brings it back to top of mind, is that Rogers and Fido officially announced that the aforementioned exclusivity is over and they both plan on selling it in their line-ups. Pricing is set at $0 on a 2-year term with both carriers respectively.

Warning: This is a true story. I have a toddler. Sometimes in desperation I let him play with my home phone. This one time he dialed 911 without me knowing. A few minutes later there was banging at my door. It was the police. They wouldn't leave unless I allowed them it to search my house to make sure we were all right. They were mad too. Ooops. If I had a new cell phone I could take the battery out of my old cell phone and let my son play with it so he can never dial 911 again.
I want to teach my Mom to text to keep in touch with her grand babies. Her current phone is not text friendly. I would also like her to be able to take some quality pictures. My Moms life is her family & I want to keep her in their social loop while they grow! Thank you for the opportunity to treat her!
I think I should win because I broke my phone by puling it apart, trying to fix it when it wouldn't start, when all I had to do was force starting it, but no, I wanted to forcefully open the sealed unit, which promptly broke the battery connections, so now I am phoneless, and feeling very left out, this Nokia Lumia phone would connect me back to the world!!! Please, pleaes pick me! :)

I should win because I need to get rid of this iphone. Unfortunately I can't grow a beard and hang out in coffee shops all day. So I don't think it is right for me.
