If you own a MacBook Air or a MacBook Pro, it is likely that you're conscious about the limited amount of hard drive or SSD (Solid State Drive) space on your device. It's easy enough to search for and delete or uninstall any apps or files that you aren't using but there are still gigabytes of stray files that sit on valuable disc space doing nothing. Shiny Soap is an application that quickly and efficiently seeks out these files and gets rid of them without adversely affecting your system performance.

Designed for non-technical users, the beauty of Shiny Soap is that it scours your Mac for Junk Files, Leftovers and Unused apps. The longer we use our Macs and install, unisntall and update applications, there's a lot of digital detritus that takes up space. My Relatively new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display had 2.5GB of storage that was freed up by Shiny Soap which is quite substantial amount of wasted space.

Once installed, Shiny Soap can be set to automatically clean your Mac as well as get updates when needed. The basic version starts at $29.99 but the Pro License for one Mac is $44.99 which some users might find expensive until you consider that this is one of the best ways to add valuable space (and on an ongoing basis) to your Mac.

Installing, enabling and running Shiny Soap took all of five minutes on my MacBook Pro. I tried the demo version on my Mac Pro and while Shiny Soap diagnosed around 1GB of junk it could remove, it only got rid of 105 MB of files for free, leaving the majority of files (940 MB) behind until I ponied up the money for the full version.

There's a lot to like about Shiny Soft. It is intuitive, easy to use and effective. it is also a beautiful utility which has a stunning interface that's informative and engaging. Its the type of application that can breathe new life on ageing Macs and is recommended for users who are running out of valuable storage space.
