My headphones get in the way sometimes and it can be frustrating to untangle the darn wires. Jabra has recently released the latest wireless in-ear headphones to the market. Jabra ROX Wireless is designed not only to eliminate the hassle of wires but they also offer Dolby Digital Sound - one of the key features - available through their app.
I had uploaded the free Jabra Sound App onto my iPhone with the unique PIN supplied with the headphones. The app immediately transferred my playlist and the songs were automatically adjusted to a noticeably better sound quality that I was use to listening to. Although the app adjusts the levels automatically, you can customize to your liking. The equalizer works on each individual tune through the settings within the app.
I admit to really not caring much about sound quality in the past. My husband cringes when I say this because he’s way more particular but he’s also pretty impressed with the Dolby Sound feature on these. I thought what I was using previously was pretty good but then listening to my music with ROX made me realize what I was missing. So, these are keepers.
What I also love about the Jabra ROX is that it's not one size fits all. Each kit comes with a selection of soft ear-gel ends for your comfort and fit. If you want to work out with them then clip in their EarWings to keep them in place.
The wireless earphones can hold a charge up to 6 hours of music play and connects via Bluetooth. It takes only a couple of hours to fully charge them with a normal USB cable – the port is hidden within the ear piece that flips open. When not in use, the ear pieces magnetize together and go into standby mode. By the way, the range is about 30 ft. with the Bluetooth connection. While in resting mode, you can comfortably put ROX around your neck like a chain and you don’t have to worry about draining the batteries. The ROX also comes in with built in mic so you can answer your calls too.
The ROX can also be paired with two devices at the same time which is a handy feature if you find yourself constantly needing to switch around.
My concern with the ROX is how I toss them back into my handbag when they aren't in use. A fabric pouch was provided in the kit that will protect the earphones from dirt and offers some protection from de-magnetizing IF I remember to use it. But when I'm in a hurry then I would be more inclined to just shove them into a side pocket. Having said that, the standby mode hasn't failed me yet.
From a lifestyle standpoint, Jabra has listened to what people want with design, comfort and amazing sound quality. As I've mentioned, I'm definitely keeping these.
I’ve been taking mine when I’m commuting on public transit. Not fussing with wires from my bag and detangling is so smart! I’m also a fan of being discreet and not showing your goods so no visible wires, and the impressive sound quality, makes my listening even more stealth.
And hey, it’s summer so you won’t have any crazy tan lines either.
