In case you wanted to create a new Google account, now you won’t be buggered to have a Google+ profile. Google quietly dropped the requirement earlier this month. New users will be given the option to opt out of creating an account. Perhaps it’s a move to distance themselves from the service or they finally listened to complaints about the rule. Or Google is taking its social network in another direction as well. It’s just clear that they are no longer pushing users to be part of the Google+ network, which we think is a good thing. People aren’t particularly fond of having services forced on them. Having a Google+ profile was mandatory for new users since January 2012.
