HP introduces powerhouse desktop and mobile workstations

HP is expanding the functionality of its enterprise machines with the new Z Workstations. The Z Desktops and ZBook Mobile Workstations are intended to address the needs of industries requiring high-capacity machines, such as media and entertainment, architecture, photography, finance, healthcare, etc.

The HP Z Desktops, including the HP Z840, Z640, Z440, are Intel Zenon-powered devices with NVIDIA and AMD professional graphics options. It also offers availability of workstation applications such as Adobe AutoDesk, Dassault, Siemens, and many more. They are also Thunderbolt 2-ready and come equipped with HP Z Turbo Drive, HP Remote Graphics Software, and HP Performance Advisor. You will get an option to choose between Windows 7, 8.1, or Linux.

Those who need something more mobile can look up the new ZBook Mobile Workstations. Drive options for the HP ZBook 15 G2 or ZBook 17 G2 include Z Turbo Drive or Thunderbolt 2.The ZBook 15 offers a 15-inch Quad-HD display, while the ZBook 17 has a 17.3-inch screen with optional HP DreamColor display.

Pricing for the products have not been released yet.
