The stylish eyes continue to gaze upon World MasterCard Fashion Week runways in Toronto but there was much curiousity for a particular presentation. The Star Wars Fashion event hosted by Disney Consumer Products, in partnership with Mercedes-Benz Start Up, quickly became one of the hottest events of the week.

The venue inside the Fashion Tent at David Pecaut Square was transformed into a galaxy far, far away where stars were cast all over the room.  Storm Troopers kept watchful eyes on the 6 models wearing the one-of-a-kind Star Wars inspired looks created by the Canadian designers of the competition.

Montreal's UNTTLD was named winner of the Star Wars design competition with their gold chain dress inspired by Princess Leia iconic metal bikini look. Jose Manuel St. Jacques and Simon Belanger, the designers behind UNTTLD, borrowed inspiration from the movie but made it more empowering -- less slave-like and more like a shield. The design team was awarded with $15,000 to be used towards their own design business needs as well as a commemorative lightsaber presented by surprise guest, Roger Christian, Academy Award winner and set decorator, and acting guest judge -- by the way, he was also the original creator of the iconic lightsaber and the character R2D2! Very cool.
