In tune with its Android for Work initiative, it looks like Google is working on releasing the next generation Chromebook Pixel. For those that don't know, the first Chromebook Pixel was released two years ago to showcase Chrome OS in a premium notebook.

Costing around US $1,300.00, the original Pixel featured a powerful Intel Core i5 processor, LTE connectivity, a stunning 12.85-inch, 2560 x 1700 touchscreen panel and a Gorilla Glass covered display. Pixel was a proof of concept flight of fancy and the new version will probably have an improved processor, better battery life and might feature reversible type-C USB slots.  While it is unlikely that the Pixel 2 will make it to the mainstream but Chromebook fans will likely be drooling over this new notebook.
