Olympus has finaly pulled the wraps off the next generation OM-D E-M5 MKII which was leaked last month together with some lenses. The redesigned E-M5 features an all new stabilization system, is sealed against moisture and dust and a high-speed 16 Megapixel Live MOS sensor/TruePic VII image processor, the ability to shoot 10fps burst shooting and, "a blazing fast maximum shutter speed of 1/8000 sec.; and a high-performance electronic first curtain and a purely electronic shutter for totally silent shooting." The OM-D E-M5 MKII bodies come in silver and black and will sell for $1,099.99.
The ultra-sensitive 5-axis VCM (voice coil motor) system is so responsive and accurate, you can shoot sharp images in low light and capture silky smooth video, hand-held without a tripod. Aside from its ability to shoot great tripod-free stills, Olympus is pitching this ILC as an ideal camera for video as well due to the improved image stabilization features. Olympus also announced the M.Zuiko ED 14-150mm f4.0-5.6 II zoom lens which sells for $599.99. Read more about it here.
