Beltone is helping out seniors in need of better hearing aids with the new Beltone First. This new kind of hearing aid promises wireless streaming of “high-quality stereo sound” from your Apple device. This made for the iPhone hearing aid also works with your iPad and iPod touch to help you talk on the phone and listen to music without an additional accessory. It makes use of 2.4GHz wireless technology, which makes it the first hearing aid on the market to integrate Bluetooth Smart technology.

The Beltone First also comes with an accompanying app. The Beltone HearPlus app lets you set preferred volume, adjust treble/bass settings as well as acoustics for places you frequently visit like office, home, etc. through geo-tagging, and you can use the app to find your wayward hearing aid.
