Ebates.ca, a leader in online cash back shopping, announces the launch of a free iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch app for Canadian shoppers. With this newest mobile app, Ebates.ca members have even greater access to cash back, online coupons and free shipping from hundreds of retailers from electronics, fashion, travel to everyday items. The app is available for download from the App Store.
Like Ebates.ca, the mobile app offers members the same deals and savings including up to 26% cash back every time they shop at any of Ebates.ca’s 650 retail partners, such as Amazon.ca, Chapters Indigo, eBay.ca, Sears, Hudson’s Bay, Old Navy, SHOP.ca, Forever21 and Groupon.
Earning back cash while shopping sounds good but what's the catch? "People often expect there must be some catch to a company that pays you cash for shopping. It sounds too good to be true. But there's no catch," says Adrienne Down Coulson, GM Canada & Russia, Ebates Inc.
According to Down Coulson, the retailers pay a commission just like any other online shopping or coupon site. Rather than keeping the money the company shares that commission with the members. The challenge however, is for consumers to keep Ebates top of mind when online shopping. "But once people get their first cheque or PayPal transer, they tend to get hooked. Knowing you can earn cash back on basically anything that's available online is really exciting for people," says Down Couso
The sites hosts special shopping events like "Double Cash Back" that take place on the site each week. Currently the site is hosting it's "Luxe for Less" event that features retailers like Neiman Marcus, Barneys New York, and Stuart Weitzman. The next event will feature "Sports and Outdoors."
Ebates.ca membership is free. To earn cash back, online shoppers log in to Ebates.ca and click through to a partner retail site to complete their purchase. Ebates.ca then tracks the purchase and offers back in cash a percentage of everything bought. Every quarter, Ebates.ca sends members their cash back account balance in the form of a #BigFatCheque or through PayPal. Members also have the option to send their cash back to a designated charity.
The Ebates brand supports a community of millions of savvy shoppers around the world. Ebates.com was founded in 1998 and has paid over $100,000,000 in cash to its global members. In 2012, Ebates began international expansion with the launch of Ebates Canada, specifically designed by Canadians for Canadians.
