Acer isn't a stranger when it comes to releasing Chrome operating system-powered devices. They're actually the first OEM to release the Chrome OS-powered laptop we know as Chromebooks. Now, the company is introducing the Chromebase, an all-in-one desktop PC running on Google's cloud-based OS. It is built with a 21.5-inch touchscreen IPS display with 1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution and NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor. No word yet on RAM or internal storage. Ports and connectivity include USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.0. It also comes with stereo 3W speakers and an HD webccam. Acer hasn't said how much the Chromebase will cost and when and where it'll be released. We'll keep you posted when we find out.
