watchOS update 1.0.1 for Apple Watch brings improvements and new features

Apple has released the first update to the Apple Watch watchOS operating system. Version 1.0.1 brings various improvements and tweaks to the Watch including enhancements to the Siri voice assistant, activity and workout measurements and support for third party apps. Also new are emojis and new language support.

To update the Apple Watch, one must use the Apple Watch app on a connected iPhone and check for Software Update. Apple Watch should be near enough to the iPhone, better if connected to a charger and with at least 50 per cent battery charge. Size of the update is 51.6 Megabytes and takes 20 minutes to install.
