Apple has updated its official WWDC15 mobile app complete with Apple Watch alerts ahead of next month's World Wide Developers Conference which takes place at San Francisco's Moscone Centre from June 8-12. Media invitations to the event, which will feature a keynote on June 8th, are starting to go out as well.

This year's WWDC is expected to be a loaded affair since aside from the requisite iOS and Mac OS announcements, there's now the whole new Apple Watch category and many are expecting some sort of announcement regarding Beats streaming music service and the perennial expectation for an AppleTV service reboot.

In terms of hardware, the AppleTV seems to be the only product that hasn't received a refresh in a number of years (even if the software has been updated on a regular basis). Many are holding their breath for a larger 'iPad Pro,' which might be in the works to create yet a new niche for Apple's tablet family.

Other announcements expected are important updates to the status of CarPlay, HomeKit and HealthKit as well as ResearchKit which collectively encompass the halo effect of Apple's growing ecosystems and we expect to hear from more developers as they recount their experiences with Apple's new Swift programming language that was introduced last year. WWDC15 certainly has the makings of an epic conference for Apple developers specially coming behind the launch of the Watch and the overwhelming success of iPhone 6.
