The Pixelmator Team today releases Pixelmator for iOS 2.0.2, an update to its full-featured, powerful, and easy-to-use image-editing app for iPad and iPhone devices. Pixelmator for iOS 2.0.2 adds Dynamic Touch to all Retouch tools, redefines the performance of its desktop-class Repair tool, enhances the Photo Editing extension, and more. The Pixelmator Team also introduces a free User Guide book and five new, inspiring Pixelmator-for-iPhone video tutorials.

The new Dynamic Touch feature lets users adjust the stroke size of all Retouch tools without changing the brush settings. Pixelmator for iOS 2.0.2 detects the finger surface area in contact with the screen and automatically adjusts the brush size when the surface area changes. Users can use the tip of their finger to create thin strokes and a larger finger surface area for thicker lines. This lets them retouch images faster and more precisely.

Pixelmator for iOS 2.0.2 redefines the performance of its unique and incredibly powerful Repair tool, making it up to 5 times faster and even more precise than before. Based on advanced calculations and rigorous testing, Pixelmator's Repair tool lets users remove unwanted objects from their images with stunning quality and incredible speed.

"There are numerous ways to repair any area of an image, so we did a lot of testing on a Mac Pro to optimize the algorithm of our Repair tool," said Simonas Bastys, the lead developer of the Pixelmator Team. "We analyzed millions of possible ways to repair areas of various complexity, and then compared the speed and quality ratio of each final result. After six months of testing, we derived a repairing algorithm that gives stunning quality with incredible speed every single time. Pixelmator for iOS now takes advantage of the same algorithm."

Pixelmator for iOS 2.0.2 is packed with other great performance improvements such as an enhanced Pixelmator Photo Editing extension, which now allows users to apply Pixelmator photo effects right in the Photos app absolutely seamlessly.

The Pixelmator Team also introduces a free Pixelmator-for-iOS User Guide book and a collection of inspiring Pixelmator-for-iPhone tutorials. Now users have everything they need to take full advantage of all powerful Pixelmator for iOS features.
