Style is at the core of the new tablet from ASUS, the ZenPad S 8.0 (Z580CA). It features a metallic finish, diamond cut edges, hairline pattern, and a soft-touch leather-pattern material for a professional and sleek look. Aside from its good looks though, ASUS has packed in some heavyweight specs into this one. It runs on Android 5.0 with ZenUI, an Intel Atom Z3580 quad-core 64-bit processor, Imagination Technologies PowerVR G6430, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB eMMC internal storage with microSD expansion up to 128GB.

ASUS boasts of a 7.9-inch 2K QXGA IPS display (1,536 x 2,048 resolution) with True2Life+ and TruVivid technologies. These are said to give the detailed, dynamic display of the tablet. It also packs in DTS Premium Sound technology to complement the screen. The ZenPad S 8.0 also carries USB Type-C connector to make it easier to plug in cables without having to worry if you have the cable on the right side. ASUS also offers an optional USB Type-C to USB Type-A adapter so you can plug in accessories to this tablet. If you’re wondering about cameras, it has a 5-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front camera. Battery is 15.2Wh and rated at up to eight hours. The ASUS ZenPad S 8.0 Z580CA is available immediately for $399 at Canada Computers, London Drugs, Memory Express, NCIX, Newegg.ca and Visions.
