Dr. Dre joined Apple when Beats was bought by the Cupertino-based tech giant. So it comes as no surprise that Dr. Dre will be creating exclusives for the company. The hip-hop mogul announced on his Beats 1 radio show "The Pharmacy," that he’ll be dropping his first new album in 15 years entitled “Compton A Soundtrack.” He describes it as his “grand finale” on Twitter so we speculate it’s his last major album, but then again we can be wrong. The album comes out just in time for the release of the "Straight Outta Compton,"movie which chronicles Dr. Dre and rapper Ice Cube's meteoric rise as rap's supergroup N.W.A.

The album is already available for preorder on iTunes and will drop on August 7th. It’ll also be up for streaming on Apple Music. As mentioned in the title, this’ll be an Apple-exclusive release.
