While it isn't shipping or available in stores until September 25th, Apple's latest iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus devices will actually be available for online pre-order tonight starting at 12.01 am PDT.  For those williing to stay up late (or wake up early as that's 3.01 a.m. on the East Coast), placing an order online might be the best way to guarantee a device on day one.

the new iPhone 6's (now sporting gold, silver, space grey and rose gold colours), are the biggest 's' updates we've seen with the usual processor updates but also stronger Aluminum and glass components plus the new 3D Touch functionality and a larger 12 megapixel camera.

With the current dollar exchange, a new contract-free 4.7-inch iPhone 6s will cost $899 (16GB), $1,029 (64GB) and $1,159 (128GB).

The larger iPhone 6s Plus, which has a 5.5-inch display, will sell for $1,029 (16GB), $1,159 (64GB) and $1,289 (128GB).
