W histle is a new location-based social discovery app that facilitates communication between mutually interested fitness enthusiasts. Just like a Craigslist ad but in app form, Whistle connects you with people in your area who are looking for a fitness partner because working out can be more rewarding when done with others.

According to Whistle founder Laura Davidson, "our app makes it easy to find people interested in similar forms of fitness, with a similar schedule. And we’ve found that our users are much less likely to cancel on a new partner than a friend or family member."

So, much like Tinder for fitness-buffs, Whistle uses the the popular ‘swipe left/swipe right’ model to accept or reject potential fitness partners. So, aside from matching people based on interests and schedule, Whistle hopes to build in accountability, because it is harder to cancel a workout or slack off when you've already made a committment to your fitness partner or group.

Whistle is available on the Apple App Store.
