New York – Motorola has unveiled three new lines for Moto 360 smartwatch. Moto 360 now comes in two sizes at 42mm and 46mm, with specific models for men and women as well as an upcoming Moto 360 Sport edition, which features a standalone GPS. Bundling in the best of Android Wear, Motorola's own intuitive software as well as health-tracking features, Moto 360 aims to cater to all users and lifestyles.
“With the second generation, we’ve refined the classic and timeless design and created a watch collection specifically designed for men, women and fitness enthusiasts,” Motorola said in an accompanying press release.
Aside from two sizes (46mm and 42mm), there’s a range of polished bezels in new styles, easily removable lugs for quick-release bracelet replacement.
Also new is an AnyLight Display which enables an always-on watch face when in low-light conditions. Exclusive to Moto 360 are Live Dials which make it possible to dive into shortcuts to most used apps without having to fiddle with the interface.
Unique to Moto 360 is a 71% display to body ratio, which means they have the largest screen real estate on any existing smartwatch.
The Moto 360 will also be the the most user-customizable wearable with the Moto Maker service which gives users the ability to design the size, colour and strap of their Moto 360 for users in the US. Canadian users will have a variety of choices as well.
"The new Moto 360 will be available in Canada this fall at Best Buy, TELUS and on Google Play. Prices vary by design and range from $379.99 - $499.99. We’ll share more details on Moto 360 Sport availability soon," said a Motorola spokesperson.
