Want to find out how well you’re sleeping through the night? A new native app for the Apple Watch called Sleep++ can do just that. Once you tell the app you’re heading to bed, it’ll use the motion capture capabilities of the Apple Watch to sense your movement throughout the night. When you wake up in the morning and tell it that you’re ready to get out of bed, it’ll give you simple metrics on how well you slept. It shows you when you were in deep sleep and when you were restless. The app works even if your Apple Watch is in Airplane Mode. It’s also capable of feeding information into your iPhone’s Health app.

According to the app’s creator David Smith, it drains just about 10 percent of your Apple Watch’s battery overnight. But that still depends on how much you sleep. It’s a free app but with an optional in-app purchase to get rid of ads. You’ll need watchOS 2 to get this app to run.
