Huawei just unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show floor two new devices: a new tablet as well as an affordable new smartphone.

The MediaPad M2 tablet comes with a 10-inch IPS display (1,900 x 1,200 resolution) and is powered by a 2GHz Kirin 930 octa-core processor, 2GB or 3GB of RAM, and 16GB or 64GB internal storage with microSD expansion. It also has a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front shooter as well as a sizable 6,660mAh battery. Its 7.35mm thick, full-metal body is made with aluminum alloy.Huawei boasts that this tablet’s four speakers carry an Intelligent Power Amplifier, Clari-fi Audio Restoration and SWS 2.0 Surround Sound courtesy of Harman/Kardon.

It will retail during the first quarter of this year and will come in either white or gold. It’ll cost US$349 for the Wi-Fi only version with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. The LTE version of this model retails for $399. If you want the 3GB RAM with 64GB storage, the Wi-Fi version goes for $419 and the LTE version goes for $469.

Now, if you’re looking for an affordable phone, the GX8 can come for as low as $349 from Amazon unlocked. It’s powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage with microSD expansion, and 3,000mAh battery. It runs on Android 5.1 and Huawei’s EMUI 3.1 skin. The shooters on this thing carry the same megapixel count as the MediaPad M2 tablet. Aside from Amazon, it’ll also be available on Best Buy and Huawei’s online store in the first quarter of the year as well. It’ll be available in golden, gray, and silver.
