It comes as no surprise that Google has finally decided to close the doors on Picasa. They haven't been updating the service in a while since all their photo-related efforts are geared towards Google Photos now. But you don't have to worry about migrating as all your photos and albums from Picasa are definitely on Google Photos already. But if you're not keen on using Google's photo service, what you can do is still download your albums with its associated tags, captions, and comments. You have until May 1, 2016 to do so. But Google will stop supporting the desktop Picasa app by March 15 already. You'll no longer be able to upload new content to the service, too. With this final nail on Picasa's coffin, maybe it is really time for you to say goodbye to it, too.
