Robotic vacuum cleaners rely on sensors to find their way around a room. The Dyson 360 Eye robot sees its environment using a 360° vision system. The camera takes up to 30 frames per second – enabling the robot to effectively capture its surroundings. The machine then builds a detailed floor plan to intelligently and systematically navigate around a room and tracks its position

Dyson's much awaited entry into the autonomous and robotic vaccuum space, the 360 Eye Robot vacuum, has finally arrived in Canada. Considered to be a culmination of over 10 years in development and involving over 420 patents, and R&D costs of $56 million, the Dyson 360 Eye melds class-leading vacuum performance and technology with state-of-the-art robotics and engineering to create a new category of product designed to automate regular cleaning.

Selling for $1299.99, the Dyson 360 Eye is available on DysonCanada.ca  websitestarting July 22nd, 2016 and for a limited time at the Dyson 360 Eye Pop-up in downtown Toronto at 363 King St. West in Toronto ( Friday, July 22 10 am-8 pm, Saturday, July 23: 10 am-8pm, Sunday, July 24: 10am-6pm) Dyson says that retail availability to follow. What sets the Dyson 360 Eye Robot apart from the competition is its impressive suction power, innovative 360 Eye camera used for location and navigation as well as a smartphone app that can automate cleaning schedules, monitor cleaning activity as well as update the Robot's firmware.

Housed inside the body of the Dyson 360 Eye robot is the Dyson digital motor V2. Spinning at up to 78,000rpm, this energy efficient motor generates twice the suction of any robot vacuum. Dyson’s robot uses Radial Root Cyclone technology to effectively separate dust and dirt, capturing particles smaller than the width of a human hair.

Robotic vacuum cleaners rely on sensors to find their way around a room. The Dyson 360 Eye robot sees its environment using a 360° vision system. The camera takes up to 30 frames per second enabling the robot to effectively capture its surroundings. The machine then builds a detailed floor plan to intelligently and systematically navigate around a room and tracks its position it knows where it is in the room, where it has yet to clean and uses infrared sensors to detect where obstacles lie. This allows the robot to clean intelligently, moving in an efficient, systematic pattern.

InThe Dyson Link app allows owners to view all of their Dyson connected machines, including the Dyson 360 EyeTM robot, but also the Dyson Pure CoolTM Link purifier fan and onwards to any other Dyson connected machines.

u the Dyson 360 Eye gives owners access to start, pause and stop their robot, view maps and statistics of cleaning sessions, and schedule single or daily cleans. And should you ever need it, the Dyson Link app has easy-to-follow troubleshooting guides. With all of this information so readily available, users can stay on top of their cleaning and take action remotely – whether they are home, at the office, or across the world.
