The International Design Show (IDS) is an exciting three-day trade and consumer show that features the latest innovations and looks for the Canadian market from emerging designers to global leaders. This year, Miele Canada introduced three new products to cater to the everyday lifestyle of the modern North American market. Featured in three different booths, Miele gave a sneak peek to show attendees of curious consumers, interior designers, and media alike.

The company's first ever bagless vacuum cleaner, the Blizzard CX1 was unveiled first at the preview to the trade and media. This vacuum boasts three stages of filtration. Armed with "Mono cyclone" vortex technology, the representatives explained that this exclusive to Miele technology forces air to pass through a single, large cyclone that saves power, yet quieter than others on the market today. Others on the market today requires the air to travel in different directions causing a louder output and, according to their research, results in wasted power. The vacuum also includes a HEPA filter to capture airborne allergens and coarse particles are separated form fine dust that is retained in the pleated Gore CleanStream fine dust filter.

Miele also introduced the FashionMaster Steam Ironing System at IDS with a honeycomb surface that offers a smoother and more even iron glide over all fabric types. The new exclusive 1-2-Lift System is convenient storage solution.

The W1/T1 Classic Washing Machine and Tumble Dryer was of particular interest. The washer design brings more care for both the machine and clothing with its protective drum. The dryer has a "SteamFinish" option that steams and smooths fabrics that apparently will help eliminate the step of ironing. Yes!

To meet the consumer demand of eco-friendly products, Miele introduced their EcoFlex Dishwashers that addresses the desire for low-energy consumption with shorter wash cycle times. The QuickPowerWash program has the ability to complete a full was and dry cycle in 58 minutes. Additional features include a heat storage unit to heat water using less electricity and WiFi connectivity for mobile monitoring and control.

Prices and release dates have yet to be announced but Miele Canada tells us that the products will be on the market later this year.
