Microsoft Windows 10 beta testers won’t be seeing Blue Screen of Death soon. Microsoft has been tweaking this error message users have come to associate with errors that require PCs to be restarted with something greener. Instead of BSOD, some users of the Windows 10 Insider Program will see a Green Screen of Death. The change in color is meant to help distinguish crashes from the generally available Windows 10 and those using the beta build.
When you’re in beta, it’s expected that these builds are prone to more crashes and, thus “GSOD” might be more prominent. This latest tweak is part of a number of updates Microsoft has introduced to the Windows 10 beta, such as changes to Windows Update and the feature that lets users place tiles into folders in the Start menu.
