Apple's just lauched the first iPhone's that feature exclusive (PRODUCT) RED colour variant. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be available on March 24 in aluminum red colours. The new iPhone variants have been released to commemorate Apple's involvement in the (PRODUCT) RED non-profit which has raised AIDS awareness. Since it was founded in 2006, (RED) has generated more than $465 million for the Global Fund, with more than $130 million from Apple alone.
Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO says that “the introduction of this special edition iPhone in a gorgeous red finish is our biggest (PRODUCT)RED offering to date in celebration of our partnership with (RED), and we can’t wait to get it into customers’ hands.”
Apple previously offered iPods and accessories in (PRODUCT) RED variants and there was a very limited Jony Ive edition Mac Pro which was sold for thousands of dollars.
iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition will be available in 128GB and 256GB models starting at $1029 (CAD) from Apple.com/ca and Apple Stores, and from Apple Authorized Resellers and select carriers (prices may vary).
