DJI drone owners, listen up! You'll need to comply with an upcoming policy from the drone maker. That is if you want to continue to enjoy using your drone. An upcoming firmware update will require users to log into the website for a "new application process." If you don't comply, the drone's range will be limited to 164-foot/50-meter radius, and it won't be able to fly higher than 98 feet/30 meters. The camera won't also stream images or videos to your phone or controller.

The reason behind the update is that DJI wants to sync up each drone with specific regulations of the country where the drones are being operated. The new activation process is expected to kick in at the end of this week. To update the firmware on your drone you need to use the DJI GO or GO 4 app and log into your account.
