Sony Entertainment has its big E3 event in LA and among the various games and titles previewed was an all-new Spider-Man game coming in 2018.

"Spider-man", is being developed by Insomniac Games, the group behind PlayStation offerings such as "Resistance" and "Ratchet & Clank". It puts the player in the point of view of Spider-man, this time it is the Miles Morales incarnation of the character. Style of play is like Batman: Arkham City, where using stealth, spider-sense, and web-shooters makes it possible to get around the city, subdue perpretratros and mount various combination moves.

The demo showed at E3 was impressive, this PlayStation exclusive looked like a Spider-man fans dream, mixing action, humour and just the right balance of realism and animation.

Sony also announced at E3 that the cult game "Shadow of the Colossus" will get a high-definition remake for PlayStation 4. This game and the next "God of War" edition are set to be released next year.
