All signs point to the V30 being the new handset LG is unveiling at this year’s IFA. The South Korean tech company just sent out save-the-date press invites for the event. While it doesn’t say which device they’re planning to unveil but the invite posted above shows the shape of a smartphone with a not-so-subtle silhouette of the V in the back. And as Android Authority points out, the resolution of the invite is at 2,880 x 1,440. The significance of that is it’s been rumoured that the V30 will also have a 2:1 aspect ratio like the G6.
Much has been said about the device already. It’s said the V30 will lose the secondary display and will have an OLED screen this time. Wireless charging is expected to be available on the device, too. Aside from that the V30 will reportedly run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and at least 4GB of RAM. All of these have been speculation, though, so we just have to wait until the end of August to find the truth.
