Waze, the free, real-time crowdsourced traffic and navigation app has launched its integration with Android Auto. As of today, Android Auto users will be able to access Waze for Android Auto by updating their Android Auto mobile app.

Using the Android Auto framework, Waze for Android Auto brings the usability and crowd-sourced traffic data of Waze right into your car’s center console screen, as well as through a vehicle’s steering wheel buttons, console touch screens and other console-mounted controls.

• Users can use voice commands to start a drive and will continue to enjoy the benefits of the Waze app, with all their personal settings, contacts and favorites – all on a larger screen embedded in the car display.

• Users will also be able to report accidents, slowdowns, police checkpoints, hazards and speed cameras, just as they do in the Waze mobile app.

Waze is now available across the Android Auto community of drivers, including more than 300 compatible car models and aftermarket stereos sold by 50+ manufacturers worldwide.
