After much speculation, Google is naming Android 8.0 or 'O,' as Oreo. This is the continued tradtions of naming the Android operating systems after tasty treats and the second time Google has appropriated a popular confectioner's brand (the first one was KitKat). Below are more details from Google.

Picture-in-picture lets you text, browse the web and read emails while watching a YouTube video (or doing a video chat).

Coming to a device near you
We're pushing the sources to Android Open Source Project (AOSP) for everyone to access today. Pixel and Nexus 5X/6P builds have entered carrier testing and we expect to start rolling out in phases soon, alongside Pixel C and Nexus Player.
Any devices enrolled in the Android Beta Program will also receive this final version.
