Amazon continues to buckle down on its Echo line and adds four new options for consumers to choose from. The first one is a new take to the original Amazon Echo. This time, it takes the fight to Google Home with swappable cloth or other shells that can wrap around the metal body of the Echo. It’s said to offer better sound with Dolby Audio support. It also has a dedicated bass tweeter and can handle audio playback across multiple rooms, putting it up against Sonos. It retails for US$99 (approx. CA$125).

The Echo Plus is a taller version of the Echo and comes with better sound, too. But the Plus means it also works as a hub for your smart home. It can work with 100 smart home products right out of the box, so you can control everything from lights, locks, and many more. The Echo Plus goes for US$149 (approx. CA$185).

The Echo Spot, meanwhile, is a rounder version of the Echo Show and comes with a 2.5-inch screen to show information like weather or a clock. Of course, it gets Alexa support and an option for video call support. This retails for US$129 (approx. CA$160) and will ship in December.

The Echo Connect, on the other hand, is a US$35 (approx. CA$43) device that lets you place phone calls to landlines using existing Amazon Echo units.  Another fun accessory is the Echo Button, a configurable device that’s designed to work and control an Amazon Echo. One of the examples is it can act as a button for a game of “Trivia Pursuit.” This retails for US$19.99 (approx. CA$25).
