Late last week, there were reports that Bethesda was offering refunds to PC players of Fallout 76 for those who cited problems like performance issues. But new developments suggest this might not be happening. A recent post from Reddit user ZPKane suggests there was a refund offered before but the company has since rescinded the offer. ZPKane first got an email from Bethesda when he voiced his displeasure about the game’s performance saying they couldn’t process the refund at the moment, but they will get back to him when they can. While waiting for the refund to push through, he got another email saying that the downloaded game isn’t eligible for a refund.
While doing research on the issue, Spiel Times found Bethesda’s refund policy which states, “If you want to download digital content within the 30-day cancelation period, you must agree to waive your cancelation rights.” So, for now this might be the reason why the refunds aren’t pushing through. Bethesda hasn’t released a comment on the matter just yet.
