Instead of sending gift cards through traditional methods (mail and email), Amazon Canada has now enabled customers to send them straight to the recipients’ preferred form of messaging, such as text. Text Message Delivery:
- Send an unexpected gift to friends and family right to their mobile phone by choosing “Text Message” as the delivery method on the Amazon Gift Card purchase page (www.amazon.ca/giftcards).
- Choose an amount, enter the recipient’s mobile number and write a personal note to accompany the gift card.
- Recipients will receive a text message with a link to their gift card, which can be redeemed instantly on Amazon.
Messaging App Delivery - Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, etc.
- Delight your favorite social maven by sending an Amazon eGift Card directly to their messaging app by visiting the Amazon Gift Card purchase page (www.amazon.ca/giftcards).
- Choosing ‘Share via messaging’ as your delivery type.
- After purchase, simply select their favorite messaging app and send the gift card directly to the recipient from the Amazon app.
- Recipients will receive a clickable image of the gift card in their message to view and redeem.
