If you're wondering which smartphone today has the best camera, Consumer Reports has just named the iPhone X as the top pick. The number 2 and number 3 spots are also taken by Apple with the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus filling those positions.
It seems Apple has found continued success in its camera hardware, software and computational algorithms that ensure the best possible photo as per Apple's standards. The availability of features like Portrait Mode and Portrait Lighting elevate smartphone photography to an extent.
Non-Apple devices in the list begin with the Samsung Galaxy S8+ at number four, then it's back to iPhones with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 6 Plus at five and 6.Google's Pixel 2, which many have claimed is takes the best pictures, doesn't even appear in the top 10.
Will Apple continue its dominance in 2018, could very well be the case, although we've heard the new Samsung Galaxy S9 has some solid photography chops, so lets wait and see.
